Campus Stop

Submitted by crdeese on August 27, 2009

“Campus Stop” utilizes the concrete and brick elements of the surrounding buildings with the roof providing a modern flare. It is important to make the statement that this bus stop is on the University of Utah campus, which is achieved through two sculptural elements that incorporate the signature “U” of the university. For days with precipitation the entire structure has been move closer to the curb. This also allows for circulation in front of and behind the structure. The interior of the bus stop provides ample covered space, seating and locations for route maps and schedules. The rear of the structure could contain a campus emergency phone and a place for public postings.
