I really like this idea, I'm always down for some shade, a comfy bench, and some trail mix while i wait for the bus!

I love it - just add some canopies for the people in wheelchairs!

What about moving some bus stops to locations directly under real trees? Good ideas here!

The Green Tree Bus Stop

Submitted by aliknud on April 29, 2009

I wanted to give the nature aspect since we do live in Utah and a lot of our activities are geared towards outdoor activities. My sketch isn’t too good, but I want a big metal/wire tree where the branches extend over the bench for the bus stop. The leaves will be big green canopies of some sort. There will be big metal flowers at one side of the bench and a 25 cent trail mix machine at the other. There will be wooden or metal whatever tree house type latter steps up the side of the trunk with the different bus routes and schedules. Good nature feel is what I was going for.
