convergent node

Submitted by dougald on September 23, 2009

Convergent node. The notion of a bustop must evolve when placed in a transit environment. Society today is in flux, blackberry, netbook, mocha choka latte, tweet me, download, upload. Technology and people converge and while waiting many things can be accomplished today that could not be done 30 years ago. Most transit stop are still 30 years behind, this campus “node” has the unique opportunity to not only satisfy the transit aspect but also all other aspects of life today with a structure that is multi-faceted and in flux.

the structure is derived from two identical forms that mimic the flux between positive(people) and negative(technology) space. the mountains become a generator for solids and voids.
