Next Stop: Clean Air

Submitted by clemea on September 24, 2009

“We will never achieve ethical architecture that is beautiful and sustainable until nature is integrated and at the core and at the substance and being of the architecture, not added on to it.”- Steve Kieran

In an urban world continually concerned with air quality, designing places that can cleanse the air of impurities is of great importance. Nature has made the best air cleaners on the planet, and building these directly into our structures are to the benefit of all. Using a simple steel structure, and air cleaning plants as part of the enclosure, this design changes the expectations of what our buildings should be in the world today.
