Great ideas! I'd give it a perfect score if you would add a place for a person in a wheelchair.

Digital Simplicity

Submitted by jakeoconnor on May 15, 2009

I am a fan of simplicity – and terrible at drawing – so I went with a design that is simple enough to be considered (at least I think so) but unique enough to stand out.

It would look like an ordinary bus stop, but on each side there would be digital ad space. The pictures could change every so often, like a slide show. Behind the seats, there would be physical ad space for posters and such. The rear would be for people to hang their bikes on, so they don’t have to stand to the side with them. To prevent people from laying down on the seats, there would be arm rests on each one that extend to the bottom of the seat. This would also add a sense of personal space to people sitting.

The roof is the coolest part. It would light up a different color for each of the buses that come. When the bus is close, it would light up. When the bus arrived, it would flash. There would also be a PA system to accommodate the blind.
