I really like the take a paper leave a paper idea. I also like the shroom design and the 40 degree or lower automatic radiating heaters.

I like the shape of this bus station, very interesting and fun. The LED lights are well incorporated into the design, too. The heater idea is also good.

I like the unique design and the heating system. I also like the circular seating around the base of the mushroom. Very different and innovative.

Fun! A special, one-of-a-kind station!

Interesting for a warm-climate location, but the lack of walls would not suit the northern half of the United States -- that winter wind is cold.

offers whimsical contrast to all the hard lined bus stops. it would be awesome to see 27 foot mushrooms or fruits or vegetables all over our cities

Bus-Shroom Station

Submitted by tonyumpierre on May 15, 2009

There are three design elements to my bus station. First, inside the cap of the mushroom attached to the top of the stem are radiating heaters that turn on at 40 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. Second, there are multi-colored LED lights that start to flash when the bus is five minutes away and flash more and more until the bus is on minute away and the lights become solid. Third, a “take a paper, leave a paper” system should be implimented at all bus stops in which someone who is done with his/her NY Times, Tribune, Deseret News, etc. can leave it at the station for someone else to read while waiting or riding the bus and leave it at the station the get on at, or the station they depart at for the next person to read.
