That looks like a tsunami about to swallow some poor schmuck who might have otherwise lived a little longer to dread his way to a cubicle! Can you imagine the rain pouring off of the front eave, mid-sidewalk?

this leaves my cold...awful attempt at a future-esque hi-tec aesthetic.

Heavy, overbearing and too self-conscious. It might look OK alongside a railway track, but it has no relationship to civic space, which is probably why the designers omitted it from their rendering.

I'm still trying to figure out why a bus stop should look like the tail of a fish??? This is more skillfully done than some of the entries... as pure form, but shouldn't there be some reason why things are the way they are?

I'm thinking De ja vue! A bit stiff like the figures standing around it.

Très pratique ! L'aspect futuriste me plait bien, surtout le toit transparent!
